This policy covers patrickweiland.com, a website maintained by Patrick Weiland, an attorney at Dolci Weiland & Sendlak. In this policy, “we” means Pat and the firm. Legal services are provided through the firm, and inquiries from this site go to the firm’s intake team.
What We Collect
Forms. When you send a request through a form on this site, we receive what you type: your name, how to reach you, the county, the topic you choose and any message you add. The page you sent it from is included so the firm knows where the request came from. If you reached the site through an online ad, the campaign details in that ad’s link (such as the ad source, the campaign name and the ad click ID) and the page where you first arrived are included too. Your browser holds those details only until you close the tab.
Calls. If you call the office number, the call goes to the firm’s phone system. The office number doesn’t accept text messages. Calls and voicemails are kept as described under How Long Information Is Kept.
Technical information. Like any website, the servers that deliver this site process your IP address and basic browser information so pages load and attacks can be blocked. Our hosting provider keeps those request logs for a short period. We don’t use them to identify you.
How We Use and Share It
We use what you send to respond to your request, check for conflicts of interest and, if you become a client, to handle your matter. Form requests are delivered by email to the firm’s intake inbox, with a copy to the company that maintains this site so it can confirm the form is working. The site itself doesn’t keep a copy in a database, a spreadsheet or a marketing tool.
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it with anyone outside the firm except service providers that help run the site and email, or when the law requires it.
The form uses a security check from Cloudflare, called Turnstile, to tell people apart from automated spam. It looks at signals from your browser for that purpose only.
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use it: which pages are read, which tools are used, and whether someone tapped a phone number or sent a form. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to do this, and Google processes that information under its own privacy policy. Google’s advertising features, including Google signals and ad personalization, are turned off for this site. We don’t send Google your name, phone number, email address or anything you type into a form or tool.
The site may also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without setting cookies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics. The site works the same way with cookies turned off.
How Long Information Is Kept
Voicemails, call recordings, emails and requests sent through this site are kept indefinitely with the firm’s other client and prospective client records, unless you ask in writing for them to be removed. The firm may keep a record that an inquiry was made, but it will honor a specific written request to remove your personally identifiable information from its records. To make a request, contact the firm using the details below.
Your Choices and Privacy Requests
You can ask what information the firm has from your use of this site, ask for a correction, or ask that it be deleted, subject to the firm’s legal and ethical obligations to keep certain records. Contact Dolci Weiland & Sendlak at 17W662 Butterfield Rd, #304, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181, by phone at (630) 261-9098, or by email at office@dolciandweiland.com.
This site isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
How This Policy Relates to the Firm’s
Dolci Weiland & Sendlak is responsible for the information collected through this site. This policy covers what you send through this site and how the site itself works. The firm’s privacy policy covers its own website and applies to anything this policy doesn’t address. If you become a client, your written engagement agreement with the firm, along with the firm’s duty of confidentiality, governs how your information is handled from then on.
